Simpson House - Monroe, NC

Our move was a fairly long one, 23 miles to be exact. Our original house mover backed out on us at the last minute, we really were in a mess-our house had to be moved by a certain date or else we were going to have to pay the people that bought the property. We got Mickey's name from a list of House Movers that the DOT provided us with. We called Mickey and he met with us in a timely manner, he looked at the house inside and out, measured it and asked for directions to the new "Homeplace". He called us back in a timely manner and quoted us a reasonable price that was agreeable with our budget. He told us when he could move it weather permitting. Mickey and his crew had to remove the brick from the outside of the home, they had to cut off a laundry room that was on the back of the house and remove a 10X24 deck, unhook all the plumbing and take care of all the electrical wires and knock out a chimney that was inside a closet. What a job! The house was then ready to be moved, Mickey and his crew showed up early Sunday morning and pulled out with the house at 7am in Matthews, NC and they arrived at the new "Homeplace" south of Monroe, NC by 11:30am. I could not believe it!  What I do believe is that I was the 2nd happiest person on earth that day and Mickey was the 1st-it was quite a task! I had no idea that it would go so smoothly!

Mickey knows his business and we will be forever grateful for all his knowledge, determination and hard work. We have been in our new "old house" for a year and a half and could not be happier.
